Our client is a key player in the UK building materials market. Following a major M&A and re-branding, the supply chain management team decided they needed external support to audit and identify additional measures to raise the effectiveness of their warehousing and logistics.

Our support:

  • Carried out an in-depth assessment of current warehouse and transport planning situation through process walks, observation and structured interviews with key stakeholders and process owners as well as quantitative analysis of detailed collected data.
  • Mapped all processes associated with loading and transport planning and developed loading-bay workload model.
  • Identified opportunities for improving existing processes and practices.
  • Led focused workshops to validate analysis and process maps, to explore potential future scenarios and secure agreement for the necessary changes.
  • Developed future vision to solve issues and realistically raise efficiency of loading and transport planning based on best practice and output from focused workshops.
